It was 3 years ago this month my sweet Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma...how is she today?
Better!
I clearly remember the first chemo appointment...
pushing her in the hospital in a wheelchair
with her oxygen tank in tow
her being skin and bones
and she couldn't talk...
so basically she couldn't eat, walk, talk, or breath...she was so sick!
She had cancer in her stomach, spleen, lungs, neck and bone marrow:(
In those 3 years she has had kidney stones, colon infection, pnemonia, sinus surgery, infections, infections, infections and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure...poor lady!
HOWEVER............
The scan on Monday shows no cancer in her spleen and stomach!
There is still "activity" in her lungs and neck BUT we are very happy!
Her immune system is shot so she is sick all the time so we are starting Gamma infusions to build it back up and get her feeling better!
She still has to go back for more Chemo in March...
But she can walk, eat (sorta) breath sans oxygen...

Glad to hear that she is doing better. I didn't realize that she had Lymphoma. That is what my Mom had. She had it for 21 years and fought through it! Sounds like your Mom and my Mom are a lot alike :)
