Hanging out with Elder Perry & Senator Hatch...

Being on the City Council for 6 years has taken a lot of time and sacrifice from my kids but sometimes there are moments that make up for it. Today was one of those days...

This is Elder L. Tom Perry leading the BEHS Band. He spoke at a fireside the night before and was in our parade and I got to meet him and get him to his carriage. He was so sweet and wanted to conduct "one more song" before the parade started! He is a WWII Vet and his ancestors were the founding family of Perry!

Me and my Sydney ready for the Parade!

Ready to go!

Senator Orrin Hatch and his wife flew in via helicopter for our celebration.

Hunter got to ride in a convertible Camaro with the Senator...he loved the car!

Senator Hatch's wife said to him..."You're such a cute boy...you have that Bieber Justin hair!"
Senator Hatch presenting us with an award.

He LOVED his Perry City t-shirt because is said the name "Orrin" on it!

Hunter held the flag for the National Anthem!

I was in charge of getting the Senator around the City and keeping track of him and his wife...and yes he had to talk to everyone!

He was very kind to my kids and it was a very neat opportunity for them to meet him!

Sydney and Ava girl! And we had too much cotton candy, cheeseburgers, Dr Pepper, Perry Ice, facepainting...etc!!!

This year you could catch a trout...guess what we took home?!?!
Ahhhhh........my 6th celebration done!
